The role aims to secure delivery of the benefits centrally generated from IT strategic sourcing and also ensure local sourcing of selected IT goods and services through implementing deals done centrally as well as sourcing and contracting of local spend.
The IT Buyer has strong working relationships with the IT Category Managers, the key stakeholders and relevant suppliers.
These will be your responsibilities:
- Support IT Category Manager in development of sourcing strategy;
- Ensure full delivery of benefits from deals done centrally by IT strategic sourcing;
- Act as the central point of contact for selected spend categories of the IT Sourcing function;
- Effective and competitive sourcing and contracting of selected spend, including benchmarking and challenging internal requirements, influencing the local supply market and management of local suppliers;
- Ensure optimum alignment between the needs of relevant stakeholders in the country and the IT Sourcing function on deliverables and priorities for selected spend;
- Collect and challenge demand specifications;
- Identify and select the best supplier(s) which meet the business needs;
- Negotiate commercial terms & conditions with the selected supplier(s);
- Ensure at any time alignment with the business owners regarding progress and result of the supplier selection process;
- Continuous optimization of costs;
- Secure uninterrupted availability of IT goods and services for the country;
- Build and maintain working relationships with relevant stakeholders in the country and IT Category Managers across the group.

It’s necessary that you came up with:
- Master’s Degree;
- 3-6 years of relevant sourcing experience in sourcing activities for IT Services;
- Strong MS Office, especially Excel, Power Point;
- Knowledge related to the life-cycle of a software product;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Romanian and English;
- Interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with other departments locally & across the group;
- Solid project management, planning & organization skills;
- Ability to perform and oversee;
- Negotiating skills and strategic thinking;
- Analytical mind and a great sense of initiative.
It would be even greater, but not mandatory, if you had:
- Previous experience in contracting IT services and equipments;
- Similar experience in a multicultural environment.
